Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a Senior Test Systems Analyst to support electromechanical test systems used by Engineering and R&D teams. You will develop capabilities, assist prototyping, diagnose issues, and drive automation initiatives across prototypes and lab equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with CNC, laser cutting, welding, electrical panels, and instrumentation, with strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
At least four years of hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and lab/test environments.
Hands-on experience with CNC equipment, laser cutting, and welding.
Experience assembling, maintaining, or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
Knowledge of electrical panels, low-voltage DC systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical/electromechanical schematics.
Basic knowledge of PLCs, digital controls, and data acquisition systems.
Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Ability to use basic dimensional measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
Intermediate English proficiency (B1).
Strong organization, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, assemble, commission, maintain, and provide technical support for electromechanical test systems.
Support design and prototyping of components for test equipment.
Assist CNC operations and programming for prototyping as needed.
Support laser cutting and welding for test equipment and prototypes.
Create 3D models, drawings, and manufacturing routines for prototypes.
Assemble and modify low-voltage DC panels and electromechanical systems.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
Program or configure PLCs and data acquisition for test automation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical issues in test systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on lab equipment.
Develop test system documentation and manuals.
Document configurations, changes, and improvements.
Support integration, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement of test setups.
Perform basic dimensional inspections with calipers and micrometers.
Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and Software teams.
