Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineer to support design, development, integration and test of containerized missile launchers. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10–15 years of hardware integration experience.

The engineer will analyze electromechanical systems, perform power electronics studies, and assist CAD modeling and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10–15 years of hardware integration experience.
• Electromechanical and hardware systems design experience.
• eCAD modeling knowledge; preferably using Altium Designer.
• MS Office Suite experience.
• Experience with modeling and performance analysis.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills; ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to work collaboratively.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to requirement development and the analysis, design, development, integration, and test of electromechanical systems for military products.
• Supports trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and capability analysis of Power Electronics with a focus on actuator control and battery tech.
• Assists CAD modeling of military systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Supports electrical system and performance modeling, including power budgets and environmental risk assessment.
• Manages multiple engineering tasks concurrently and adheres to schedules.
• Collaborates within integrated product and technical teams; provides liaison between Valkyrie and other design groups.
• Supports planning for integration and test of military systems.
