The Aerospace Corporation's Integrated Sensor Design and Analysis Department (ISDAD) in MPD seeks an Electro Optical Remote Sensing Engineer to advance next-generation EO sensing systems for DoD and national security customers. You will model, simulate, and validate infrared sensor systems and constellations, focusing on overhead, persistent, infrared capabilities.

Qualifications

Degree from accredited university in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years electro-optical sensor modeling and simulation experience.
Proficient in MATLAB, Python, IDL, C/C++, or Fortran.
Ability to obtain security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Provide electro-optical modeling expertise for analysis in Overhead Persistent Infrared sensing for DoD, IC, and civil applications.
Use physics-based modeling to develop technical performance requirements and assess proposed designs.
Create and validate synthetic imagery for remote sensor testing and evaluation.
Develop efficient scene generation solutions and extend capabilities for rapid acquisition timelines.
Collaborate with program offices and government personnel to advise on modeling needs.
Document findings in reports, presentations, and publications.
