Job summary

Kion Group AG is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 at our Jefferson, GA site to troubleshoot and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on Dematic DMS and conveyor equipment. You will mentor junior staff and support day-to-day operations overnight Sunday through Thursday.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to lead projects, and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds while working in various conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• An Associate's degree or vocational training is helpful, and niche skill training/certification is highly valuable.
• 5–7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area; senior-level knowledge and proven track record.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), focusing on belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and procedures for efficient equipment performance.
• Apply electrical test equipment for fixing and repairing electrical circuitry.
• Construct and finalize work orders in the asset management system with detailed labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Lead spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
• Perform sophisticated maintenance and equipment testing to meet strict specifications.
• Train customers to operate equipment confidently.
• Respond promptly to service calls and address equipment faults with precision.
• Identify and resolve problems as they occur to ensure efficient operations.
