Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of formal technical training.
• Minimum of 7 years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to read manufacturing outlines, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with testing and repairing electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to work with engineers and on assembly line production.

Responsibilities

• Perform difficult manufacturing assignments under minimum supervision.
• Align, fit, or assemble component parts to complete a system.
• Assemble and repair hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.
• Test and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Read schematics and technical drawings.
• Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals.
• Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to detect problems.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify defects.
• Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates by various means.
• Develop and train lower classified employees as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
