Job summary

Promega Corporation in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to minimize downtime, perform preventative maintenance, and lead troubleshooting across production equipment.

You will mentor junior technicians, collaborate with stakeholders, and support upgrades and installations, applying automation, diagnostics, and mechanical expertise to keep processes safe, efficient, and compliant.

Qualifications

• A.S. in Industrial Maintenance, Robotics & Controls Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for maintenance tasks.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and solve mechanical/electrical issues independently with guidance as needed.
• Execute preventative maintenance per approved plans and create work orders for out-of-plan tasks.
• Lead troubleshooting, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate downtime with stakeholders.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine methods for problem solving.
• Work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, and servo controllers; verify parts with precision tools.
