Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in Tampa, FL is seeking a senior hands-on expert to keep aseptic production and facility systems running safely and efficiently. Youll troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical issues, lead major repairs, and elevate reliability across utilities and process equipment.

You will review CMMS work orders, plan parts for critical tasks, diagnose root causes, document preventive maintenance, and coach team members while supporting GMP practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance spanning mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and piping systems.
• Electrical controls experience: motors, motor controls, VFDs, relays, and sensors.
• Industrial piping proficiency: valves, fittings, pumps, and related components.
• Comfort with technical documentation: read/interpret drawings, schematics, P&IDs, manuals.
• Proven, safe use of hand/power tools and electrical test instruments.
• Machine shop exposure (lathes, milling machines) preferred.
• Valid drivers license required.
• GMP and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Own daily work orders and PMs; troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade production, facility, and laboratory assets while documenting work in the CMMS.
• Lead major repairs and elevate reliability across utilities and process equipment.
• Troubleshoot steam sterilizers, ovens, pumps, kettles, piping and electrical controls and implement fixes.
• Coach Maintenance Tech I/II teammates—share best practices, mentor on LOTO, and raise the teams technical bar.
• Champion GMP compliance, housekeeping, PPE, and aseptic procedures; keep the work area audit‑ready.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost equipment reliability and performance.
