Job summary

DENSO in Michigan is seeking a Staff Engineer for Electrification System (Electrical Architecture) to direct development of electrification hardware, oversee design, development, and testing, and ensure performance, reliability, and cost targets.

You will guide integration of EAxle/REEV generator hardware, power electronics, battery interactions, and thermal management, mentoring the team, and collaborating with NA/global teams to drive technical consensus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical hardware systems expected.
• Deep understanding of mechanical & electrical engineering, power electronics, motor, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, and testing of electrical components and systems (EAxle / Generator, inverter, power electronics).
• Explore new design concepts and manufacturing techniques to improve performance.
• Ensure seamless integration of components into vehicle architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges using RCA, DOE, and FMEA.
