Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer for Electrification Site Applications & Integration to develop and deploy customer-focused electrification solutions for commercial, industrial, and energy applications.
You will integrate energy storage, charging infrastructure, distributed energy resources, controls, and monitoring across multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include validating and commissioning systems, translating customer needs into deployable architectures, and driving
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Experience with electrification and energy systems; cross-disciplinary project work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop site electrification solutions including BESS, charging infrastructure, microgrids.
- Translate requirements into technical specs, architectures, and interfaces.
- Lead integration across electrical, controls, software, communications and monitoring.
- Support validation, testing, commissioning, and optimization.
- Perform root-cause analyses for complex issues across systems.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver solutions.
