Job summary
Shaw Industries Group, Inc. in Chickamauga, GA, is seeking a Senior Intermediate (III) Electrician for a night shift.
Responsibilities include maintaining electrical and control systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading proactive maintenance on production equipment to ensure reliability. The role requires advanced electrical troubleshooting skills, PLC and automation experience, and mentoring of junior electricians.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Electrician Intermediate (II) requirements (DOS).
- 3–4 years of electrical experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with PLC hardware and industrial control systems.
- Industrial electrical certification or technical school coursework.
- Advanced training in PLCs, VFDs, robotics, or automation.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and electrical standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical & control systems, including MCCs, motors, inverters, drives, and PLCs.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex issues affecting safety, quality, or productivity.
- Lead proactive maintenance: PM/CM activities and updates to schematics.
- Support projects and process improvements: reliability, production, and upgrades.
- Mentor Electrician II, support Electrician IV/V on advanced installations and upgrades.
