Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced licensed electrician to oversee, test, and install electrical systems across the medical center and affiliated facilities. The role requires night and weekend availability, on-call duty, and supervision of the electrical shop staff to ensure safety and reliability.

You will work with contractors and engineers to design or update systems, manage permits, and schedule shutdowns with minimal disruption.

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Massachusetts electrical license current and active.
• Knowledge of hospital systems, codes and plant layout.
• Willingness to train others and maintain high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shutdowns, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Schedule on-call electricians for required off-hours coverage.
• Train maintenance personnel in electrical safety and operations.
• Work with contractors and engineers on renovations per NFPA specs.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with Lahey Clinic policies.
