Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Sr Technician to provide electrical support for the design, integration, and maintenance of electrical systems across land robotics, USVs, and naval vessels for military programs. The role involves lab and field testing, travel to remote sites, and working from assembly docs to build and test cable assemblies.

The position requires interpreting drawings, performing equipment setup, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• .Associate’s degree in electronic/electrical/engineering technology preferred, and 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate unmanned systems and support equipment
• Troubleshoot electronic and general electrical systems
• Assist engineers and designers with prototype development and testing
• Support offsite testing and demonstrations
• Actively perform lab maintenance, safety audits, and material tracking
• Use small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers.
• Identify and document work order instruction or drawing errors
• Maintain logbooks and records.
• Build and Test cable assemblies
• Operate USV’s and manned vessels
• Operate overhead cranes and forklift
• Work extended/flexible hours to meet program goals
• Maintain equipment
• General Housekeeping
