Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices.
• Relevant education/experience is knowledge and/or skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs similar to a formal technical degree program.
• Relevant experience includes experience in a military role (transmission, distribution, gas, power systems, etc.), project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs engineering assignments with complex features and may lead teams.
• Assists in areas where precedents are incomplete or broad experience is required.
• Evaluates, develops and implements projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Serves as a subject matter expert and may deliver training or OJT.
• Performs assignments independently and may lead multi-discipline teams.
• Provides recommendations and action plans to improve performance and cost effectiveness.
• Participates in technical societies to keep up with new technologies.
