Job summary

Velocity is seeking a heavyweight, hands-on Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to own electrical and network architectures for our re-engineered classics product lineup. You will standardize wiring schematics, BOMs, and component selections, while working closely with assembly on the shop floor.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on electrical systems engineering, a BSEE, and on-site work in Cantonment, FL.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in hands-on electrical systems engineering in automotive or heavy equipment on an active manufacturing floor.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.

Responsibilities

• Establish baseline electrical standards and develop master schematics and BOM.
• Design wiring layouts and select automotive-grade components across product lines.
• Audit and troubleshoot vehicle data networks (CAN/CAN-FD, LIN).
• Collaborate with assembly to resolve layout issues and maintain the change process.
• Apply DFM principles to improve reliability and reduce variation.
