Job summary

Plug Power is seeking a Senior Product Service & Sustaining Engineer - Electrical to drive the design-for-service mindset and create maintenance procedures for electrolyzer systems. You will develop expert service material, support troubleshooting, and collaborate with global teams to ensure high uptime and low life-cycle costs.

The role requires Electrical/Electronic systems experience, 30–50% travel, and strong communication skills to interact with field technicians and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, systems or controls engineering.
• 5–10 years of related work experience.
• Experience with medium and/or high voltage systems and/or power electronics preferred.
• Travel 30–50%, depending on program needs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID drawings and related drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of service engineering deliverables during new product development.
• Develop and maintain expert-level technical product knowledge for new products.
• Drive a Design-for-Service mindset throughout the design lifecycle.
• Define maintenance procedures, spares plans and tools required to support new products.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem resolution using structured methodologies.
