Job summary

Amteck is seeking aSenior Project Manager to lead the Electrical Service division, directing project scope, budget, and schedule while mentoring other PMs and coordinating with field leadership. The role emphasizes client service, leadership, and strong communication skills for complex electrical construction programs.

You will oversee cost control, procurement, and scheduling using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring safety compliance and high-quality project delivery across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience in electrical construction, industrial and commercial.
• Knowledge in Electrical Project Management, NEC, OSHA, and Safety Codes/Practices.
• Demonstrated experience managing electrical construction projects ranging from $5M to $15M or more.
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to delegate and give clear instructions to team members.
• Willingness to travel to meet project needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers.
• Oversee large or complex projects and ensure financial targets are met.
• Coordinate with executive and operations groups to influence company processes and objectives.
• Provide leadership for multiple project aspects including cost, planning, scheduling, and supervision.
• Manage project activities: takeoffs, budgeting, procurement, pull planning, scheduling, production tracking.
• Maintain project documents and correspondence; communicate milestones to stakeholders.
• Identify scope changes, address issues, and maintain customer relationships.
• Lead and train Superintendents and field staff; ensure effective delegation of tasks.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; incorporate pull planning and scheduling sessions.
• Ensure alignment with Superintendents and other disciplines on planning and tasks.
• Communicate progress to clients professionally and manage project constraints.
• Track work completed throughout the project lifecycle; audit field documents.
• Collaborate with HR to plan manpower strategy and staffing decisions.
• Review and approve subcontracts and major material purchases; manage risks.
• Provide financial projections and progress reports; prepare PM summaries.
• Review bid documents and provide feedback to estimating/engineering.
• Oversee quality assurance and close-out documentation (As-Builts, O&M, etc.).
• Address safety issues with Amteck's Safety department and resolve tool/vehicle issues.
