Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA seeks an Electrical Safety Engineer III to support the Occupational Safety Program Office. You will lead electrical safety reviews, develop hazard analyses, and coordinate with facilities, NASA groups, and vendors to ensure compliance.

This role emphasizes electrical power systems, safety documentation, and site-specific safety plans. Candidates should have power systems expertise, knowledge of CEC/NEC, and experience with AHJ processes, LOTO procedures,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems emphasis and at least 6 years of relevant experience or
• Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience or PhD with at least 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems design, operation and maintenance in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design reviews and construction inspections of JPL facilities.
• Evaluate specifications, calculations, and power system analysis; issue AHJ plan approval.
• Develop and maintain electrical safety compliance docs, hazard analyses, and SSSP.
• Interface with Facilities, site personnel, NASA groups, and contractors on electrical safety.
