Job summary

Aligned is seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer for Electrical systems to serve as the top technical authority for medium and low-voltage topology, UPS architecture, and power quality across the fleet. The role bridges Site Operations and Platform Delivery and uses advanced electrical forensics to identify vulnerabilities and translate findings into binding engineering mandates and operational protocols.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of advanced electrical industry experience focused on hyperscale data center infrastructure and large-scale backup generation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent specialized training/experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of medium- and low-voltage systems, UPS topologies, diesel generators, switchgear routing, and power quality analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep-dive forensic analyses during critical fleet electrical incidents and translate findings into corrective actions.
• Review diagrams and specs for capital projects; issue changes to ensure safe, reliable power distribution.
• Audit fleet electrical systems and enforce MOPs, SOPs, and maintenance intervals for UPS/generator fleets.
• Evaluate new electrical tech and validate impact on thermal/mechanical topologies with the team.
• Act as Tier-3 escalation point and communicate risks to senior leadership.
