Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates in Aiken, SC is seeking a Lead QC Engineer – Electrical to support a multi-year construction project at the Savannah River Site. The role focuses on field QC inspections, documentation, and ensuring electrical work meets drawings, codes, and QA requirements.

The successful candidate will have at least five years' electrical QC experience, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and familiarity with ASME NQA-1 and DOE 414.1D.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of electrical QC or related industrial construction experience.
• Experience inspecting industrial electrical installations and site infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and quality requirements.
• Experience with ITPs, NCRs, and test documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform field QC inspections for electrical construction and turnover.
• Verify work complies with drawings, specs, codes, and QA requirements.
• Inspect conduit, cable tray, raceways, and grounding.
• Witness electrical testing and document results.
• Coordinate inspections with project teams.
• Support NCRs and corrective actions.
• Escalate quality concerns per procedures.
• Lead QC activities and review inspection/test docs for lead-level assignments.
