Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a QC Engineer (Ductbank) in Aiken, SC to support a multi-year technical construction project for the Savannah River Site. The role focuses on field quality control inspections of electrical ductbank and civil construction, ensuring compliance with drawings, QMS, ASME NQA-1, and DOE 414.1D requirements.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in quality control, construction inspection, or related industrial construction.
• Experience with ductbank, electrical infrastructure, civil/sitework, or similar construction.
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and DOE Order 414.1D quality requirements.
• Ability to interpret civil/electrical drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, and inspection requirements.
• Experience with ITPs, hold/witness points, NCRs, corrective actions, and turnover documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform field quality control inspections for electrical ductbank and civil construction.
• Verify construction complies with drawings, QMS, ASME NQA-1, DOE 414.1D, and project quality requirements.
• Inspect ductbank excavation, subgrade, bedding, conduit installation, spacing, and alignment.
• Verify conduit size, routing, elevations, bends, spacing, supports, terminations against documents.
• Inspect reinforcing steel, embeds, grounding components, forms, and concrete placement.
• Confirm pre-placement inspections, hold points, and witness points before concrete.
• Witness and/or verify concrete testing, placement, curing, and documentation.
• Verify ductbank interfaces with manholes, structures, equipment, and site interfaces.
• Review drawings, specs, ITPs, and QA documentation to determine inspection criteria.
• Identify and document nonconforming work and CAQs; initiate NCRs and corrective actions.
