Job Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Senior Electrical QA/QC Manager. This position plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of all lump‑sum construction contractors and oversees the work of all QA/QC field supervisors to ensure industrial processes, materials and products meet the required standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works under the direction of the client Project Director to provide Quality Control Systems Management and Oversight on a large‑scale industrial construction project.
  • Remains onsite at all times during construction.
  • Responsible for overall management of Construction Quality Control.
  • Program with the authority to act in all quality control matters for the client.
  • Manages a team of field quality supervisors provided by the client.
  • Maintains all documents (letters, material submittals, pipe fab spool drawing submittals, quality control reports) and records at the site.
  • Reviews and approves all construction contractor quality control reports.
  • Follows up on all quality non‑conformances to ensure that issues are addressed and corrected in accordance with good engineering practice, applicable codes and project specifications.
  • Collaborates with the construction manager and client project engineer to obtain necessary approvals and sign‑offs on all corrective actions.
  • Has overall responsibility and oversight for quality aspects of the project, including management of all quality control personnel and reporting as required.
  • Responsible for inspection and acceptance of equipment delivered to the site.
Qualifications
  • A graduate engineer, or a graduate of construction management, with a preferred minimum of 5–7 years of construction experience on projects greater than $100MM TIC.
  • Completion of the Construction Quality Management for contractor course within the last five (5) years, or willingness to obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification within 90 days of onboarding.
  • Verifiable experience as an approved Construction Quality Control Manager on projects (references required).
  • Experience leading and managing a quality control staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in a Google operating environment.
  • Demonstrated planning, problem‑solving, data analysis, blueprint reading, organising, interpersonal, and communication skills with proven leadership and decision‑making abilities.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to move freely about a construction site that at times presents a demanding terrain, including climbing of ladders and stair towers, uneven and often wet surfaces, and slopes.
