Job summary

Gibson Electric Co. in Downers Grove seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead and estimate medium to large electrical construction projects independently while developing business opportunities from existing and potential clients.

You will participate in mentoring and on-the-job training for junior PMs. Responsibilities include managing budgets, change orders, and schedules; coordinating with field teams and trades; and presenting progress to senior management.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent field experience.
• Knowledge of electrical design, estimation, and project implementation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and interpret contracts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractual requirements and ensure staffing aligns with deadlines.
• Control project finances: materials, change orders, costs to complete, and budgets.
• Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials, equipment, and tools.
• Collaborate with client, architecture, engineering and trades to meet critical paths.
• Prepare complete project estimate packages for small to medium jobs.
• Develop and monitor project objectives and performance standards.
• Present progress reports monthly or as needed by management.
• Represent the company in project meetings and ensure safety plan compliance.
