Job summary

Tri-City Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Senior Commercial Project Manager in Tampa, FL to oversee multiple large-scale electrical projects from inception to completion.

You will lead planning, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring timelines, quality, and safety compliance while optimizing resources and managing client expectations. The role requires 9+ years of experience on commercial electrical projects over $10M, NEC knowledge, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 9+ years’ experience managing commercial electrical projects over $10 million.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate knowledge of Local and National Electrical Code requirements.
• Experience with negotiation and various techniques.
• Experience with contract documents and change orders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and NEC requirements.
• Fluent English reading/writing.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality work aligned with Tri-City’s mission.
• Define project scope and set team direction and goals.
• Organize project team structure and assign roles.
• Review initial estimates and own budgeting projections.
• Prepare layouts and construction drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Develop budgets and cost codes; assist in proposals and scopes.
• Plan schedules and manage resources; forecast manpower and cash needs.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and submittals.
• Lead project meetings and document delays/accelerations for cost.
• Maintain project cost reporting and monthly billings.
• Ensure safety standards and close-out with GC.
