Job summary

Tri-City is seeking a Senior Commercial Project Manager to oversee multiple large-scale electrical projects from inception to completion. You will plan, schedule, budget, and lead a team to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a dynamic leader with strong communication and negotiation skills, plus extensive experience with commercial electrical projects and budgets over $10M. Florida driver’s license and OSHA 10 are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project controls.
• Nine plus years’ experience managing commercial electrical projects >$10M.
• Knowledge of Local and National Electrical Code requirements.
• Experience with contract documents and change orders.
• Experience with negotiating and subcontracting.
• Experience reading construction plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Generate high-quality work aligned to Tri-City’s mission and vision.
• Define project scope, set team direction and goals.
• Determine project team structure and roles.
• Review initial job estimate and own construction budgeting projections.
• Prepare layouts and construction drawings.
• Identify materials/equipment to meet project requirements.
• Develop budgets and cost codes; assist in proposals and safety plans.
• Develop goals and plans to prioritise and organise work.
• Process contracts with GC and issue sub-contracts as needed.
• Procure materials and manage submittals and material control.
• Coordinate, supervise, and train team members.
• Foster a healthy work environment and address employee relations issues.
• Develop project schedules with cost and manpower forecasts.
• Present clear project scopes to clients and opportunities proposals.
• Maintain full project scope incl. plans, costs, schedules and folders.
• Provide weekly on-site cost-to-complete surveys with field leads.
• Monitor progress with updated schedules; adjust manpower as needed.
• Run project meetings and document delays/accelerations for cost recovery.
• Report on project costs using metrics and month-end analyses.
• Prepare monthly project billings and manpower requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
