Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer II, Electrical Projects to oversee electrical systems design for onshore wind, solar, and storage from development through handover to operations.

This office-based role requires an ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including transmission design, substation design, and power system studies, with renewables exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years post-undergraduate electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in transmission/substation design and power system studies.

Responsibilities

• Design balance of plant packages from development to IFC.
• Provide engineering support during pre-construction to turnover.
• Ensure grid code compliance and interconnection requirements.
• Specify and evaluate major electrical equipment.
• Perform power system modeling and studies.
• Coordinate with 3rd party engineers and internal stakeholders.
• Support NERC compliance documents and studies.
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards in designs.
