Job summary

RavenVolt is seeking a Senior P.E. to oversee engineering across a portfolio of transmission and distribution-scale projects. You’ll back up engineers, drive technical decisions, and ensure engineering stays ahead of construction while coordinating with operations.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE with electrical emphasis preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience on transmission/distribution-scale projects and substations.
• Strong ability to lead multiple projects without detail loss.
• Deep knowledge of protection, controls, and interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering across multiple concurrent projects as the technical authority on design decisions and scope.
• Support engineers on each job; review work, raise quality, and ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Assign tasks and priorities across portfolio with Director of Engineering.
• Serve as main technical contact for customer engineering teams.
• Participate in PM and internal meetings; contribute technically, not just status.
• Collaborate with operations to track deliverables, drawings, milestones, and change orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers for major equipment; drive submittals to approval.
• Ensure milestones and submittal cycles appear accurately in schedules.
• Flag technical risk early and address it while affordable.
• Support proposals with technical review and scope estimates.
• Mentor and grow the engineering group through review and knowledge sharing.
