Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead complex construction initiatives from planning through delivery. You will work with an expert team to build reliable electrical infrastructure, maintain budgets, and drive project profitability.

The role demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with 5+ years in electrical construction and a solid understanding of codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial/industrial electrical systems, methods, and installation practices.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, procurement, change orders, and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, resolve issues, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management or scheduling software.
• Electrical engineering education, journeyman or master electrician credentials, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, labor forecasts, material procurement plans, and resource allocation strategies.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to identify potential issues and maintain project progress.
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, manage billing and forecasting, and implement strategies to maintain profitability.
• Oversee material purchasing, equipment deliveries, subcontractor coordination, and long-lead item tracking.
• Provide direction and support to electrical superintendents, foremen, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Ensure electrical installations meet applicable codes, contract specifications, quality standards, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, scheduling challenges, material delays, and other project risks.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and project stakeholders regarding progress, costs, changes, and potential challenges.
• Lead project meetings, document key decisions, and ensure timely completion of required project documentation.
• Manage project turnover, inspections, punch lists, as-built documentation, and final closeout activities.
