Job summary

NR Consulting seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction from preconstruction to closeout. The role requires 6–12 years of hands-on electrical construction experience and a strong grasp of field operations and project management.

The ideal candidate independently manages projects valued at $1M+ and coordinates schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractors, and client relationships, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Experience independently managing projects valued at $1M+.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, specs, and docs.
• Active electrical license or journeyman background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop, monitor, and forecast schedules, budgets, and costs.
• Manage $1M+ projects to meet schedule and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with GCs, owners, engineers, architects, vendors, and teams.
• Review plans, specs, drawings, scopes, and contracts.
• Coordinate procurement, material buying, equipment, and vendors.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, and docs.
• Identify risks, costs, schedule impacts, and changes; implement actions.
• Oversee subcontractors, safety, and quality on site.
• Track progress, labor, materials, and overall performance.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings and report on schedule, budget, and status.
• Review job costing, budget-to-actual, forecasting, profitability.
• Support turnover, commissioning, punch lists, and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety requirements, and standards.
