Hazen & Sawyer in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer/Manager to lead electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, guiding projects from concept through construction. The role involves managing scope, schedule, and budget across local and regional projects, mentoring staff, and potentially becoming the electrical leader for the DC/MD/VA area.

This is a senior, client-facing leadership position with broad impact.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering and PE licensure or ability to obtain licensure in relevant states.
• 15+ years in heavy industrial electrical engineering and design.
• Experience with power system software SKM/ETAP and BIM tools AutoCAD/Revit.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for client and team interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for water and wastewater facilities across multiple projects.
• Develop specifications and edit electrical master specs for each project.
• Serve as lead electrical engineer and manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform site visits from design through construction and review shop drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subconsultants; mentor junior staff.
• Support business development and participate in project interviews.
• Oversee QA/QC within the Electrical Group and ensure quality standards.
