Job summary

Hazen & Sawyer in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to design electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities. You will serve as the lead electrical engineer on select projects, coordinating with clients, contractors, and other engineers through design, construction, and commissioning phases.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, PE licensure, and 5–14 years of heavy industrial electrical experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE license in at least one U.S. state or ability to obtain licensure in others.
• 5–14 years of heavy industrial electrical engineering/design experience.
• Experience with SKM/ETAP and with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facilities.
• Lead electrical engineer on multiple projects when required.
• Develop project specifications and edit master specs.
• Perform site visits from concept to construction.
• Create electrical designs in AutoCAD and Revit; perform power system studies.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and witness testing as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development and proposals.
