Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the Project Manager on electrical construction projects. You will serve as the liaison between the field and the office, defining objectives and ensuring projects are planned, executed, and finalized on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities include supporting senior management, coordinating with customers and subcontractors, managing schedules, change orders, invoicing, and ensuring high-quality engineering delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of project engineer experience in electrical construction.
• Strong scheduling, bids, takeoffs, change orders and contracts knowledge.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and win projects.
• Leadership, initiative, and communication skills at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide close support to the senior project management team.
• Develop project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Plan schedule goals, procurement, contracts, and staffing.
• Improve systems to meet customer needs and profitability.
• Mentor, develop, and guide colleagues.
• Ensure schedules are met; adjust priorities as needed.
• Coordinate with customers to align expectations.
• Oversee third-party firms and subcontractors.
• Lead project reviews focusing on financial forecasting.
• Deliver high-quality engineering and Helix project execution.
• Communicate risks, challenges, and successes.
• Oversee monthly invoicing and change orders.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisors on methods and manpower.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes.
