Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical engineering for capital projects, facility expansions, and process upgrades in the Atlanta area. You will support projects from concept development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout.

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will coordinate with EPC firms, consultants, utilities, equipment suppliers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Seven or more years of electrical and instrumentation engineering experience in chemical, petrochemical, energy, manufacturing, or related process industry.
Experience delivering capital projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
Experience as an electrical discipline lead, project technical lead, or owners engineer.
Experience overseeing EPC firms, consultants, equipment suppliers, system integrators, and construction contractors.
Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution through 480 VAC and working knowledge of medium-voltage systems.
Working knowledge of process instrumentation, control valves, analyzers, PLC systems, remote I/O, and industrial control networks.

Responsibilities

Serve as electrical discipline lead and owner’s technical representative for assigned capital projects.
Establish electrical and instrumentation design criteria, scopes of work, technical requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
Direct and review work performed by EPC firms, consultants, vendors, system integrators, and construction contractors.
Develop and review calculations, specifications, data sheets, RFQs, technical bid evaluations, drawings, and construction packages.
Lead the design and integration of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, VFDs, panelboards, relays, and circuit breakers.
