Job summary

ABB in New Berlin, WI is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to be a design authority for electrical engineering across multiple projects. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with contract specs, quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards in a hybrid work model.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will shape designs, create work plans and cost estimates, coordinate manufacturing and testing, and mentor peers to translate concepts into engineering documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of experience OR master's with 6+ years.
• UL508A proficiency with knowledge of manufacturing and assembly techniques used with Industrial Control Panels.
• Awareness of thermal requirements of electronic equipment.
• Proficiency in applying UL and IEC agency requirements to design and their related approval processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to shape and deliver solutions for Industrial Control Panels.
• Create work plans and cost estimates for project portfolios, ensuring quality and timely delivery within budget.
• Coordinate with functions to ensure designs are manufactured, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coach engineering colleagues on translating designs to documentation and best practices.
