Job summary

ABB is seeking an entry-level Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to support engineering design activities under supervision of senior engineers. You will work onsite in the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in the US, performing survey work, basic design tasks and project documentation.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 0–2 years' experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo or SolidWorks, and familiarity with MS Office and SAP/Windchill.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Entry level position for 0–2 years of experience in engineering.
• Experience with low complexity orders and mechanical designs.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Authorized to legally work in the US.
• Proficient with AutoCAD (recent version).
• Experience with 3D design including Creo or SolidWorks.
• Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, Windchill.

Responsibilities

• Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
• Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
• Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.
• Supporting in communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
• Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
