Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical to work independently and with Project Managers to design and implement electrical systems and equipment projects. The role includes developing preliminary designs, schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments while aligning with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

The successful candidate will lead multiple projects from tens of thousands to under $5 million, serving as a key technical resource for electrical design, system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• Experience with commercial building electrical systems and NFPA standards.
• Experience with BIM/ACC/Revit.
• PMI/PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct project scoping activities and interface for resolving engineering design issues.
• Develop preliminary engineering schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with project teams for estimating, risk id, and planning.
• Submit scope reviews and definitions to Project Managers.
• Monitor costs and ensure schedules stay on target.
• Chair scope meetings and update leadership on progress.
• Prepare and evaluate project bid packages with Project Managers.
• Apply expertise in electrical systems and equipment engineering.
• Support Facilities Operations in troubleshooting electrical issues.
