Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Principal Electrical Product Engineer in New Stanton, PA. This hybrid role supports design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery of electrical products within the Electrical Products Group.

The role focuses on safety, reliability, and SME leadership, with duties spanning SAP data management and product design using AutoCAD/Inventor. The candidate should have a bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, 10+ years of experience, and knowledge of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineering required.
10+ years of engineering experience required.
General knowledge of electrical distribution systems and equipment.
Ability to mentor lower-level engineers.
Ability to design components, parts and full assemblies with design software (AutoCAD, Inventor).
Nuclear industry experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and purchase requisitions for various Electrical Products.
Develop and/or maintain Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP.
Determine critical equipment characteristics to support qualification and GMP/CGD processes.
Assist in development of equipment qualification test procedures and review results.
Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions.
Develop engineered solutions to address obsolescence issues for various electrical products.
Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations.
Become SME in assigned field for specific electrical products and components.
Engage with WEC customers and vendors on key product issues.
Problem solve issues related to non-conforming material.
