Job summary

Edison Smart is seeking an experienced Electrical Product Design Engineer to join our growing Product Engineering team in Menasha, WI. You will design electrical components and low-voltage systems, create detailed CAD models, and support PLC controls while coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers.

This role emphasizes BOMs, engineering changes, and design reviews. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in electrical product design, with hands-on CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally in electrical product design.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or CATIA.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical circuits, PLC controllers and electrical equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing, BOMs and engineering change processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical components, assemblies and low-voltage systems.
• Create 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, electrical schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support PLC controls, component selection, wiring and assembly design.
• Manage engineering changes, technical documentation and design reviews.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers and engineering teams.
• Support prototype builds, production troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
