Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an Electrical Procurement Manager (Senior Electrical Procurement Engineer) to oversee purchasing for a Boydton, Virginia site. You will manage RFQs, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and delivery coordination to keep projects on schedule.

You will mentor a procurement team, review technical docs, monitor supplier performance, and resolve discrepancies while collaborating with logistics and project teams to secure cost-effective materials for data-center

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in a procurement function in a construction related industry
Electrical background is preferred
Strong negotiation and communication skills required

Responsibilities

Review and prepare RFQ packages, quotes, and procurement documents
Initiate and manage purchase orders and align material delivery with project schedule
Participate in specifications reviews, bid preparation, submittals, and negotiations
Collaborate with logistics to ensure timely material arrival
Track late or incorrect orders and expedite when needed
Resolve payment or material discrepancies and seek refunds when applicable
Monitor supplier performance and ensure contract obligations are met
Issue and maintain department reports
Assist with material inspection, factory testing, and meeting coordination
Mentor team members on procurement responsibilities and negotiation methods
