Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC seeks an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager - Electrical to serve as the electrical SME across regions. You will provide budgeting guidance, vendor relationship knowledge, and procurement strategy support for preconstruction managers on multiple projects.

You will develop conceptual budgets, validate scope and pricing, and train the team on electrical estimating practices. Travel may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of electrical estimating or preconstruction experience.
• Deep knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods and production rates.
• Strong knowledge of electrical vendor/subcontractor markets and relationships.
• Experience developing conceptual/schematic level budgets and estimates.
• Strong analytical skills to organize historical cost data and benchmarks.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Self-directed, department-wide resource rather than single-project focus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the preconstruction department's electrical SME across regions.
• Develop conceptual and schematic-level electrical budgets.
• Validate scope, pricing assumptions, and risk with lead managers.
• Refine procurement strategies, including trade packaging and RFP development.
• Advise on electrical market conditions, production rates, and buyout strategy.
• Maintain relationships with electrical trade partners and vendors.
• Deliver internal training on electrical systems, estimating practices.
• Capture historical electrical cost data and benchmarking metrics.
• Participate in project and estimate reviews as an electrical advisor.
• Stay current on electrical costs, systems, codes, technologies, and market trends.
• Travel may be necessary depending on project needs.
