Responsibilities
- Lead the definition of electrical system projects including capturing requirements, creating proposals, achieving stakeholder approval, and aligning partner support
- Work with a cross‑functional team to establish the highest standards of technical capability, quality, professionalism, and teamwork
- Ensure designs meet applicable safety, regulatory, and industry standards
- Support commissioning activities and help resolve technical issues during project delivery
- Provide and support engineering and process guidance, training and creating documentation
- Prepare and review engineering work products for technical documentation, quality, completeness
- Develop and communicate complex technical ideas and information in a concise and logical way
- Ensure appropriate policies, standards and best practices are defined, shared and adopted
- Lead the sharing of best practice, represent the area as an authority in their defined subject, provide concise justification for decisions, record and capture salient information in reports and systems
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of electrical engineering experience, or
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or
- PhD in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years of electrical system/product development engineering experience
- Application of agile development methods to deliver engineering work products
- Experience in writing technical documents such as electrical system requirements and specifications, product design specifications, test specifications etc.
- Experience of developing, implementing and validating electrical power systems and sub‑systems that integrate electrical machines, AC‑AC / AC‑DC and DC‑DC conversion stages that will connect to a grid and/or other loads via distribution system
- Demonstrated experience with electrical system studies (load flow, faults studies, protections, harmonics, EMC, voltage drop, etc.) and analysis tools (such as Siemens Capital, MATLAB / Simulink / Simscape or similar)
- Experience in using electrical test equipment, data acquisition and analysis tools such as NI LabVIEW, or similar
- A systems‑thinking mindset and an understanding of systems engineering processes, tools and industry standards (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, ARP4754 etc.) for development of complex aerospace, standalone power generation systems. Experience in applying for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience in safety and reliability methods as applied to novel systems concepts (e.g. FHA, FMEA, DFMEA, HAZOP analysis)

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other teams and customers to develop electrical, electronics and mechatronics control system requirements, design and verification work products for safety critical applications as per ARP4754A and appropriate guidance within DO-178C.
- Work with a cross‑functional team to establish the highest standards of technical capability, quality, professionalism, and teamwork
- Provide and support engineering and process guidance, training and create documentation
- Prepare and review engineering work products for technical documentation, quality, completeness
- Resolve complex problems through the application of acquired technical experience and knowledge
- Develop and communicate complex technical ideas and information in a concise and logical way
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of product development engineering experience, or
- Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or
- PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years of product development engineering experience
- Experience with military qualification of airborne systems.
- Experience with FAA certification.
- Application of agile development methods to deliver engineering work products
- Gas turbine engine, propulsion, or electrical control system experience
- Demonstrated experience with control system design and analysis tools
- Development of model-based systems with digital engineering toolsets (MATLAB, Simulink and/or similar)
- Knowledge of systems engineering, and robust design tools and techniques coupled with the latest model-centric development approaches
- Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) or similar SysML modelling software.
