C&I Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to join our team in the office. The role focuses on leading design packages, mentoring staff, and coordinating large projects within an industrial setting for clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and spirits sectors.

The position requires a strong engineering background, leadership experience, and the ability to travel up to 10%. We value safety, quality, ownership, and service in our work culture.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or higher) with 10+ years related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 10%.
• Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements and have TWIC/background checks.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complete design packages for complex projects and coordinates with other departments.
• Estimates effort hours for tasks based on limited scopes of work.
• Mentors junior staff and identifies training needs in the department.
• Develops execution plans for large projects considering long lead items and procurement cycles.
• Integrates department plans into multi-discipline project execution.
• Performs computer analyses and calculations.
• Checks dimensions and interfaces using vendor documents and models.
• Specifies process instrumentation and assists in developing P&IDs and electrical/instrumentation design documents.

About the opportunity: Senior Electrical Power Engineer

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Power Engineer in our office to help us achieve our company mission. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.
• Creates lists of engineering deliverables and tasks, and estimates effort hours for same, based on limited scopes of work for complex projects.
• The Senior Electrical Power Engineer serves as a mentor to junior staff. Assists in training and development of others. Identifies training needs in the department chief.
• Creates a plan of execution for large and complex projects, anticipating the sequence of tasks, long lead and special items for engineering procurement cycle, and dependencies of information from others.
• Works within project team to integrate department plan into a multi-discipline project plan of execution.
• As a Senior Electrical Power Engineer, this individual prepares computer analyses and calculations.
• Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, determine physical space requirements, and provide information to other departments. etc.
• Specifies process instrumentation (level, pressure, flow, temperature, etc.)
• Helps develop P&IDs and create typical electrical and instrumentation design documents.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, or a bachelor's degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 12 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally to o?ces, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%
• Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements.
• Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks.
• Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License
