Job summary

C&I, a full-service engineering design firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to design, coordinate, and deliver complex projects in oil & gas, food & beverage, and spirits sectors. The role emphasizes mentoring, execution planning, and engineering calculations.

The candidate will work with multi-discipline teams, develop P&IDs, and ensure safe, compliant designs. Travel up to 10% may be required, with a focus on project success and client satisfaction.

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for projects and offices.
• TWIC and background checks may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complete design packages and scopes of work for complex projects.
• Mentors junior staff and supports training in the department.
• Develops execution plans for large, complex projects and integrates with multi-discipline plans.
• Performs computer analyses and calculations and uses vendor documents to check dimensions.
• Helps develop P&IDs and electrical/instrumentation design documents.

Job description

We are currently seeking a full-timeSeniorElectrical Power Engineerin our office to help us achieve our company mission. C&I is a full-service engineering design firm providing engineering/design/project management and procurement services to various clients in oil & gas, food & beverage, and distilled spirits.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepares complete design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations. Designs are well coordinated with other departments.
• Creates lists of engineering deliverables and tasks, and estimates effort hours for same, based on limited scopes of work for complex projects.
• The Senior Electrical Power Engineer serves as a mentor to junior staff. Assists in training and development of others. Identifies training needs in the department chief.
• Creates a plan of execution for large and complex projects, anticipating the sequence of tasks, long lead and special items for engineering procurement cycle, and dependencies of information from others.
• Works within project team to integrate department plan into a multi-discipline project plan of execution.
• As a Senior Electrical Power Engineer, this individual prepares computer analyses and calculations.
• Uses vendor documents, coordination prints, surveys, and models to check dimensions, determine interface points, determine physical space requirements, and provide information to other departments. etc.
• Helps develop P&IDs and create typical electrical and instrumentation design documents.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering program with a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, or a bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program with 12 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally to offices, vendor shops, and project sites. Travel may be up to 10%
• Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements.
• Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and pass any required background checks.
• Performs work in a safe manner in accordance with C&I and client requirements.
• Valid Driver’s License
