Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks an Electrical Power Design Engineer to lead the development of load studies, construction packages, and specifications for power systems. This role requires PE-ready credentials, AutoCAD fluency, and experience with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower. Travel up to 25% is anticipated.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, FE/PE ambitions, and strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• FE exam completed or in progress; PE license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical power design packages.
• Experience with NEC and relevant standards; familiarity with API 500 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrical power load studies.
• Lead development of electrical power construction packages for PE stamping.
• Lead development of electrical power specifications for packages.
• Lead BOMs and coordinate with vendors for pricing.
• Perform field verification of Electrical and E&I infrastructure.
• Perform factory acceptance testing on power equipment.
• Lead start-up and commissioning activities.
• Provide after-hours support for clients.
