Job summary

Turner Construction Company in the Chicago Main division seeks an experienced construction leader to manage day-to-day project operations. You will lead high-performance teams, supervise staff, and coordinate progress with the project schedule, budget, QA/QC program, and safety protocols on a port-area site in Port Washington, WI.

This role reports to the Senior Project Manager or Project Executive, requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least ten years of related experience, and emphasizes strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least ten years related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities; proficient with MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, schedules, and specs.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in developing high-performance teams through supervision, coaching, and mentoring; ensure staff feedback and timely appraisals.
• Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
• Develop and improve client relationships to foster trusted advisor status.
• Understand and administer Turner's contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Provide leadership to positively influence change and enforce safety protocols.
• Foster relationships with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
• Manage budget and financial reporting, interpreting reports to ensure adherence to budget.
• Oversee QA/QC program and risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions.
