Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers in Wayne, PA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Philadelphia area office, supporting enterprise-wide projects. You will lead design of electrical power distribution, fire alarm and lighting control systems, perform site surveys, and collaborate across disciplines.

The role requires 10+ years of experience and a PE or EIT; Revit proficiency and code knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing electrical power distribution, fire alarm and lighting systems.
• Interior and exterior lighting design experience with controls.
• Knowledge of short circuit, arc flash coordination and photometrics.
• Background in design of commercial and data centers preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit for design (1+ year).

• Prepare calculations for feeders, services, short circuit, transformer size.
• Design building electrical distribution, fire alarm and lighting control systems.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team in our Philadelphia area office located in Wayne, PA while supporting the function and projects enterprise-wide.

The requirements for this position include:

• 10+ years of experience in designing electrical power distribution infrastructure, fire alarm systems, lighting systems, both interior and exterior, and lighting controls.
• Knowledge should include familiarity with short circuit, arc flash coordination, design of interior and exterior lighting, and photometric calculations.
• Background in design of commercial and data centers preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of applicable codes including energy conservation.
• PE Preferred. EIT certification required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit design software with at least 1 year experience of formal design use.
• General understanding of Microsoft Office.
