Job summary

Nationwide IT Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to support a large-scale federal facilities program. The position is 100% remote and requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

The engineer will conduct surveys, troubleshoot building systems, support HVAC and TAB, and evaluate BAS/BMS, UMCS, SCADA, and metering. PE licensed candidates with 10+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license — required.
• Relevant management or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience within the engineering functional area of the project.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering surveys, assessments, and technical evaluations of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment, building systems, controls, and related infrastructure.
• Support HVAC and mechanical systems, including testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB).
• Evaluate and support Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) and facility control systems.
• Support Utility Monitoring & Control Systems (UMCS) and utility metering.
• Work with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) environments.
• Assess electrical distribution and facility electrical systems.
• Support controls and metering modifications and building technology assessments.
• Participate in system commissioning, testing, and performance evaluations.
• Support electrical safety activities, including arc-flash assessments, as applicable.
