Job summary
Shield AI seeks a Staff Electrical Systems Advance Manufacturing Engineer to lead development, integration and production support of advanced electrical systems for aerospace platforms. You will drive manufacturability, production readiness, and continuous improvement across electrical assemblies and subsystems.
The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing engineering for complex electrical systems, experience with wiring harnesses, EWIS, PCBA, and avionics, and a strong background in DFM/DFA
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 7+ years in manufacturing engineering for complex electrical systems.
- Experience with wiring harnesses, EWIS, PCB/PCBA, avionics.
- Demonstrated ability in DFx, DFM/DFA and production scaling.
- Aerospace or defense experience and IPC familiarity helpful.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing eng activities for electrical and avionics from prototype to full-rate production.
- Develop processes, tooling, work instructions, and production flows.
- Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and test eng teams.
- Mentor junior manufacturing engineers.
- Lead DFM/DFA reviews and transition new products to manufacturing.
- Support supplier qualification and production readiness reviews.
- Define manufacturing standards, process controls, and acceptance criteria.
