Shield AI is seeking a Staff Electromechanical Systems Advance Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing engineering for complex motion-control and actuated systems across aerospace and defense platforms. You will drive processes, tooling, and work instructions while partnering with design to improve manufacturability and reliability.

The role requires strong experience in electromechanical assemblies, actuators, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production scaling in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in electromechanical systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience with prototype manufacturing in startup/rapid-growth envs.

Responsabilités

• Lead manufacturing engineering for electromechanical subsystems and assemblies.
• Develop and optimize processes, tooling, work instructions, and production flows.
• Collaborate with design to improve manufacturability and reliability.
• Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions for MM manufacturing issues.
• Develop work instructions, quality standards, and inspection methods.
• Support supplier qualification, process validation, and production readiness reviews.
• Lead DFM/DFA reviews and transition new products into manufacturing.
• Support system integration, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
