Senior Electrical Maintenance Planner

Job summary

AES Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Planner to develop work plans, procure resources, and support outage work across our generating stations. You will apply work management best practices and leverage CMMS/EAP, SAP, and scheduling software to keep maintenance on track.

The role emphasizes cost effectiveness, hazard analyses, and collaboration with plant departments, with a Must be able to work in a union environment and support a 24x7 operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of generating station electrical maintenance experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of industry work management best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal, technical, financial and estimating/planning skills.
• Strong computer skills required and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using EAP, SAP and scheduling software applications preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Must be able to quickly adapt to changing business needs.
• Effective organizational skills with commitment to deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to learn/teach.
• Willingness to work in a union environment.
• Able to support a 24 x 7 operation.
• Additional consideration will be given to candidates with project management certification and/or bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans and procure resources for maintenance, outages, and projects.
• Apply work management best practices using CMMS/EAP, purchasing, and financial software.
• Select and procure materials and resources for work plans and projects.
• Perform job hazard analyses and issue permits (LOTO, hot work, confined space).
• Review maintenance histories to facilitate process improvements and productivity.
• Prepare routine maintenance reports and information for resource-loaded maintenance schedules.
• Lead work request review meetings and communicate across plant departments.
