Job summary

AES Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Planner to develop work plans, procure resources, and support outage work across our generating stations. You will apply work management best practices and leverage CMMS/EAP, SAP, and scheduling software to keep maintenance on track.

The role emphasizes cost effectiveness, hazard analyses, and collaboration with plant departments, with a Must be able to work in a union environment and support a 24x7 operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of generating station electrical maintenance experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of industry work management best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal, technical, financial and estimating/planning skills.
• Strong computer skills required and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using EAP, SAP and scheduling software applications preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Must be able to quickly adapt to changing business needs.
• Effective organizational skills with commitment to deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to learn/teach.
• Willingness to work in a union environment.
• Able to support a 24 x 7 operation.
• Additional consideration will be given to candidates with project management certification and/or bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from an accredited college/university.

Position Scope:

• Under general guidance, the Maintenance Electrical Planner is responsible for developing work plans and procuring resources that facilitate efficient and cost effective execution of routine maintenance, outage work, and specific projects.
• Must be adept in work management best practices and able to apply them to area of responsibility. Must be able to effectively use CMMS/EAP, purchasing, and financial software to meet work management process requirements.
• Must be familiar with maintenance repair processes to develop appropriate job steps. Responsible for selection and procurement of materials and resources necessary to execute work plans and projects.
• Must be able to perform job hazard analyses for mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks and provide appropriate permits (LOTO, hot work, confined space, etc.) for execution of work.
• Responsible for review and analysis of maintenance histories to facilitate process improvements and make work plans more productive or cost effective.
• Prepare routine maintenance reports. Develop and prepare information for resource loaded maintenance schedules.
• Lead work request review meetings and effectively communicate across plant departments.

Qualifications:
